Q. Where is The Farnam, Autograph Collection Hotel located?
The hotel is nestled in the heart of downtown Omaha in the business district, with its backyard facing the Old Market, Nebraska's most historic and entertaining location.
This venue is a prime location to host a wedding due to its convenient access to popular restaurants and local coffee shops, giving plenty of entertainment for your guests when they aren’t enjoying your wedding celebration.
Q. Does the Farnam Autograph Collection Hotel offer ample wedding reception space?
Offerings include a modern, bright, and elegant space to host a wedding. The 3,304 sq. ft. room, known as the Rosewater Ballroom, hosts up to 250 guests, but for the ideal guest experience, 225 is recommended. The ballroom overlooks the vibrant city with its floor-to-ceiling windows, bringing a dreamy ambiance to any party. If you want to level up your wedding reception, a floral installation hanging from the modern chandeliers [shown in the image below] will make this room look even more elegant and romantic.
A small detail in their ballroom that I admire is that the tables aren’t your standard banquet tables but oval-shaped guest tables. This is nice because, unlike a standard round banquet table offered at most hotel venues, your guests can chat more comfortably at a table of this shape. That said, if you are hosting a wedding in this ballroom, I recommend renting chairs from a local vendor like Catalyst Event Rentals to personalize the design of this space for your wedding reception.

In addition, right outside of the ballroom is a 1,077-square-foot space perfect for a cocktail hour. This room can easily be transformed for your wedding guests to gather around cocktail tables and enjoy a signature drink.

Q. Are there additional pre-function wedding event spaces at the Farnam Hotel?
Another event space at the hotel restaurant is their private room in the Dynamite Woodfire Grill. This private room is ideal for hosting an intimate rehearsal dinner for your family and bridal party. The space sits at the front of the hotel between a floor-to-ceiling wine rack and floor-to-ceiling window, which gives an upscale grill experience.
This room is tucked in the Dynamite Wood-fire Grill restaurant and can host up to 30 guests when using the whole room. The banquet staff can also split the room in half if you are hosting a smaller guest count and looking for an even more intimate space. There is no fee to rent, but a minimum cost for food. This space is luxurious while also being simultaneously cozy.

The hotel also offers a sophisticated, urban-style ground-floor bar, which allows guests to gather before the wedding weekend celebrations begin.

Q. What are some of my favorite details about the Hotel as a wedding venue?
Well, first off, the hotel smells incredible. A gentle white fig scent fills the hotel with a custom fragrance. Then, logistically, the way the hotel is laid out for pre-function events and receptions is a planner’s dream. The Rosewater Ballroom is private but easily accessible to your guests. Then, leading up to the wedding reception space, you are met with a modern staircase perfect for the couple to take unique photos with their photographer and make a grand first impression for your guests as they are led up to the event space.
The owners of the hotel have designed every floor of the Autograph Collection with refined details that are intentional to the history of the city of Omaha. The hotel's design has masculine features throughout while also being bright and airy at the same time.
